DP-AMP HVF-1k2 Amplifire
With pleasure I would like to introduce here my newest power amplifier, the HVF-1k2.
After the HF-1200 ran very well and my fingers itched again,
the further development of 4x VRF2933 to 1x NXP BLF188XR began.
So with the smaller PA module and new smaller power supplies I
started to build a new power amp. The PA module, LPF
module,
ATU module and the controller were redesigned and the
switchless control concept was kept.
The housing is made of aluminum, ground and anodized black.
LAN / WLAN /USB, 2 antenna ports and a measurement output, that's all you need.
Interior view, the antenna tuner can be mounted above the filter board.

Power | typ. 1 kW PEP |
IMD3 | typ. -35 dB twotone / -41 dB PEP |
Harmonic suppression | typ. 50dB |
Antenna Tuner range | 16:1 |
Power Supply | internal 53 V / 57 A |
Display | 7" Touchscreen |
Network | LAN / WLAN |
Filter selection | manuell oder CAT |

.
With its small dimensions, the HVF-1k2 PA is suitable for
desktop use.
Two whisper-quiet fans provide sufficient ventilation, which ensures that the power amplifier stays cool and no accumulated heat is generated. Thanks to the large display, a lot of information can be shown at the same time without appearing overloaded.
Remote operation is no problem thanks to the computer used,
just like a remote control unit. A tablet on the desk, the
power amplifier where it is better kept, is a nice idea.
is a nice idea.
Measuring, controlling and regulating is done by an Arduino, which is programmed in C/C++. C/C++ programming is ideal for programming close to the hardware and achieving high speeds. So it is no wonder that the measured values are recorded and controlled approx. 800x per second.
The data for operation is transferred to a Raspberry PI, which handles further processing and provides the GUI for operation.
The built-in LPF board provides a very good suppression of harmonics with > 50 dB and with an IMD3 of over -41 dB PEP you still achieve an amazingly clean signal on all bands at 850 W.
If the antenna does not quite fit, the built-in antenna tuner
can produce an adjustment
of up to 16:1.
